This drop in class for jr high and high school students is half-guided lesson and half open studio. One lesson it might cover perspective, a famous artist or design elements and another week we might cover charcoal drawing, painting mediums, value studies or colored pencil. Supplies will be provided for these lessons. The open studio time offers additional technique and personal coaching as the student works on the project of their choice. Positive feedback will be given in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seriously Fun Art Drop In!<\/p>\n

Seriously Fun Art Drop In! – Grades 3-5<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Join us for some serious fun where elementary school students can experience art basics while stretching their imagination.\u00a0Guided lessons cover a variety of media as we create 2 and 3D artworks. Draw, paint, shape, blend, and sculpt with artist Penny Coffman. Students will try a variety of media and receive plenty of attention and encouragement. Always new projects. All supplies provided. Dress for mess.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fee: $12\u00a0 Ages pre-k & K<\/p>\n

Young artists will bring one of their favorite adults with them to class. Together they will explore and create in 2 and 3-D. Art explorations are set up in stations and the art duos move through the activities at their own pace. Focus is on creative play and a positive experience. Dress for mess.<\/p>\n\n\n

Students\nwill be explore a variety of media and subject matter as we learn and\ncreate. Artists will be introduced to different styles of art, they\u2019ll\ntalk about some famous artists and create 2 and 3D works to go with the\nsubject. The classes are small with plenty of attention and positive\nreinforcement. Students should bring a sketch book with their name on it\nif they have one.
